2 Years and Counting

All my life I'd wonder what a great marriage would be like. "How would it feel to be that in love?" I'd ask myself.
 Thanks to you, I know.
You make me the happiest girl in the whole wide world. You are the best husband, partner, and friend a girl could ask for. I thank God every day for blessing me with you. These 2 years have truly been the most amazing in my life and I have you to thank for that. You are my saving grace, my rock.

And I love you today and always. Just as I promised on a November  day 2 years ago.

Countdown

As our anniversary approaches I get extra "giddy girl in love-ish" just like the weeks leading up to our wedding. I am so in love with being in love and am head over heels with being a wife.

I love happy love songs. This one is one of my current favs:

Oh, killing softly and I'm still falling
Still the one I need, I will always be with you
Oh, you got me all gone, don't ever let me go
Say it real loud if you fly,
If you leave me you're out of your mind

My baby is a 10
We dressing to the 9
He pick me up we 8,
Make me feel so lucky 7
He kiss me in his 6
We be making love at 5
Still the one I do this 4
I'm tryna make us 3
From that 2
He still the 1

How cute is the trying to make 3 from the 2 part, especially considering they are expecting? What's your favorite "being in love" upbeat song?

Celebrate!

To celebrate we relaxed this weekend, and re-visited the place where we had our first date. We then came back home and ended the weekend with a Game Night with our closest friends and family. We got to eat our free anniversary cake. Yum =)

When it was time to go to bed, I found three gifts on my side of the bed. They were wrapped in pink tissue paper. I unwrapped them to find a copy of November's O Magazine (a subscription was purchased as well), and a Lonely Planet-Thailand book (for our next vacation). You did so well with the paper theme, hubby! You also got me my favorite perfume and a make-up bag that I wanted.

But the best present was the beautiful card I received and the words it held inside: "...So on our anniversary remember that, no matter how complicated or crazy our days may get, one simple, timeless truth is forever in my heart-I adore you."

It was such a perfect ending to a perfect year.

A Year In Our Life:

This past weekend we celebrated our first wedding anniversary. It came so quickly for us. This is what we were up to this year:

This year of marriage we:
1. Visited the Big Apple on our honeymoon. I fell in love with the city and even more in love with you.
2. We returned home and made the biggest purchase of our lives, a house. We have worked together for the past 8 months to turn it into our home. It has been stressful, costly and time consuming at times but it has brought us even closer together and has been worth every minute and penny! I love having a place of our own, "our place."
3. We took our first cruise together (to Enseneda). I love traveling with you and cannot wait for future trips!
4. I graduated with my Master's Degree. Yay! I am finally done with graduate work, internships and now I have free time.
5. We went to Las Vegas, many Dodger games, and visited many friends during our summer.
6. We had a housewarming party and a few small gatherings. We are learning how to be excellent hosts ;) cooks etc.
7. I got a new job!

Phew! What a busy year we have had. We have accomplished so much in such a short period of time. I cannot wait and see what else is in store for us, babe. Love you more than I could ever express.
